China Post EMS ePacket Tracking

For those who live in the United States, shipping from China or Hong Kong was normally done by sea transport which could take eight weeks or longer. ePacket was established to provide faster delivery options for those who ordered packages from China. The company delivers packages around the world and provides tracking numbers along with faster shipping times that may be as little as 30 days depending on the type of package.

Packages that may be shipped through ePacket must be no more than 4.4 pounds in total, unless you live in Israel where it can be up to 6.6 pounds. The size of the package must be a minimum of 14 centimeters long and 11 centimeters wide. And not exceed 90 centimeters in either width or length. The package cannot be valued at more than $400.

The origins of ePacket started with an agreement by the US Postal Service and the Hong Kong Post. It was designed to provide faster shipping of smaller packages while providing tracking numbers that could be traced as the package made its way to its destination. Today, the service has spread to several other countries which allows for faster delivery of packages while including individual tracking numbers.

How Do I Track my ePacket Package?

The shipping by ePacket features both a tracking number and delivery confirmation service by the receiving postal business such as the US Post Office. You will receive a tracking code which can be entered to the USPS tracking site, ePacket China Post, or independent companies such as 17track.net.

You simply enter the tracking code that was received, and the site will provide the last known location of the package. As the package reaches each processing center along the way, it is scanned so the information is presented to the website. Depending on the tracking number site you select, you may get an estimated delivery time.

What Does an ePacket Tracking Number Look Like?

The tracking numbers used by ePacket consist of 13 digits and letters. In most cases, the tracking number starts with two letters such as the following

  • LK, LM, LN, LQ
  • LS, LX, or AG

And the tracking number will finish with the letters CN. An example of an ePacket tracking code would be LX123456789CN.

ePacket Delivery Times

The delivery time of your package will depend on where you live, the size of the package, and any special considerations that were made at the time of shipping. For the most part, if you live in the US, then you can expect your ePacket delivery to be made in 7 to 10 business days. However, it may take up to 30 days again depending on the package and the circumstances in which it is being delivered.

Keep in mind that the estimated delivery times are based on when the package is sent from the company. So, the delivery estimate is made when it arrives at the mailing service. While ePacket may take from 7 business days up to 20 business days, it is still faster than the former 8 week delivery time that was prevalent.
